Upcoming: Working Hard, Playing Harder

I’m a big fan of Fabolous and for the first time in about 5 years bought a CD, which was obviously his, From Nothin’ to Somethin’. This album was absolutely bananas and I compare it to Kanye West’s CD in terms of the amount of hits they each have on there. This time around Fabolous is supposed to be making another huge album with people like Kanye, Timbaland, Dr. Dre, and Just Blaze producing it. Guest appearances start at One Republic, Ne-Yo, The Game, Lil Wayne, and there are just so many more.

Fabolous+Working hard, playing harder

I’m honestly really excited to see what Ne-Yo and Loso can do with another track. Make Me Better was such a commercial hit that they are talking about doing a tour together much like what Jay-Z and R. Kelly did with the Best of Both World Tours.

“I been telling him we need to do the Best of Both Worlds for young, fly n—as,”… “I don’t think [a clash of the egos] would happen with us. [We’re] two good humble brothers. If we make some great music, people would love it and the demographic we would hit … It would be great for us too. I think we can pull off a Best of Both Worlds.”

His first single is due out in May 2008 which is now so I’m anitcipating it any time soon. As soon as I get it, I’ll get you loyal readers a link.

The album is taking on a central theme like what Jay-Z did with American Gangster and will speed up the release of this CD. Nobody knows what movie it is but he says it’s a classic that’s not too old. I am not a huge fan of this and it was one reason I didn’t buy Jay-Z’s American Gangster album and might mean me not buying his. It’s for one simple reason and that is the CD becomes to one-dimensional and does not get mixed up and keeping things fresh. His other album had different views and tones which made listening to his music easier. This August though look for his album and the movie associated with it. Should be a blockbuster as it’s coming out in the Summer.

Life of Da Party

The first time I heard Snoop’s new single “Life of Da Party,” I couldn’t help thinking to myself how far this song could go. Sure - it’s a typical rap song filmed in the ever-so-trendy club setting, but it’s still quite an acceptable video thanks to its unique greyscaled footage mixed with colourful lights. […]

No Air

Jordin Sparks and Chris Brown collaborated to come up with this single off Jordin Sparks’ debut CD. With her first single “Tattoo” already a huge hit (even a bit overplayed, in my humble opinion), I’m expecting big things to happen for Jordin Sparks.
On paper, this thing already looks like a match made in R&B […]

Detroit Rock City

A friend of mine recently got Rock Band for his Playstation 3, and undoubtedly, we’ve been playing a lot (I’m an amazing vocalist). One of my absolute favourite songs on the game would have to be Detroit Rock City. I’m aware that it hasn’t been very popular with mainstream audiences, but has had […]
